Wimmer on Richmond: Scott Wimmer, driver of the No. 23 Stacker 2/Stamina RX Chevrolet, has finished 15th or better in four starts at Richmond International Raceway, three of which were top-10 finishes.

"Every driver loves racing at Richmond because it gets us all back to our roots of short track racing," said Wimmer. "Our Stacker 2/Stamina RX team always seems to run well there as well as all the other Bill Davis Racing teams. I think that helps all three teams across the board. Richmond seems like it has several grooves of racing. Some short tracks are hard to pass on and at Richmond it isn't as hard. You have to be really fast through the corners to win at Richmond. Horsepower and aerodynamics aren't as important as handling through the corners."

Monkey Gone? Wimmer and his No. 23 Stacker 2/Stamina RX team hung a stuffed monkey from the back of their hauler last weekend at California to get the proverbial "monkey off their back," due to the bad luck the team had been having over the previous weeks. It seems as if the rite helped...

"We needed to change our luck going into California, so we hung a stuffed monkey off our hauler and pit box to get him off our backs, " said Wimmer. "I also wore a new helmet and went back to my old driving shoes from last year. Our goal going into California was to bring the car home in one piece and finish on the lead lap, which we were able to accomplish. Hopefully this has set a foundation for us to build on and put the other races behind us. Racing on a short track this weekend should get us back to where we need to be.finishing in the top-five."

Sponsor Switch: Stacker 2 and Stamina RX co-sponsor the No. 23 entry for Scott Wimmer. Originally, the sponsors were going to switch primary status at the mid-season point, however, Stamina RX will take its first turn as the primary sponsor on the No. 23 Chevy this weekend at Richmond. An added bonus, since it is a night race, the car will carry reflective decals.
