Target House 200 - Kyle Busch Notes

ROCKINGHAM MAKES SEVEN: On Saturday, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet, will make his seventh career Busch Series start in his first-ever appearance at the Rockingham, N.C.-based North Carolina Speedway. The race will mark his final start on the circuit until going full-time in the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports in 2004. In six races this season, the 18-year-old has posted two top-five results, both of which were runner-up finishes.

STARTING AT THE FRONT: In six Busch Series races this season, Busch has started fifth at Concord, N.C.; fourth at Indianapolis; eighth at Darlington, S.C.; 21st at Dover; second at Memphis, Tenn.; and ninth at Atlanta. Busch's 21st-place start at Dover -- his only start outside the top 10 -- was the result of qualifying being canceled due to inclement weather.

BUSCH TESTS ROCKINGHAM: The No. 87 ditech.com team spent two days testing at Rockingham for this weekend's Target House 200. Busch and his team departed early during the second day of testing because of inclement weather.

GOING FOR 17: A triumph on Saturday at Rockingham would be the 17th Busch Series victory in the history of Hendrick Motorsports. Vickers' trio of wins this season marks the most for a Hendrick-owned team since Brett Bodine won three back in 1985.
