Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200 - David Stremme Notes

TEAMWORK HELPS STREMME PROVE HE BELONGS

LYNN HAVEN, FL (May 13, 2003) – Busch Series veteran drivers tend to be tough on a rookie as he enters what they consider “their” series. Tough, that is, until the rookie has proven himself to be able to handle the pressure and race competitively. David Stremme has had only three Busch series starts behind the #1 Dodge, but he has gone a long way in proving he is the type of driver that belongs, and a driver to watch as he gets more experience behind him.

In the three races he has run so far this season, Stremme has an average starting position of 19th and an average finish of 12th. These are impressive numbers, which will only improve as he helps Team Yellow continue to make a run at the championship.

“This team has done so much for me this season. Everyone works together and does a great job, and it makes what I am doing much easier. I am so pleased to see things going so well, and I can’t wait to get in victory lane for all of the employees of Yellow Transportation,” driver David Stremme said.

“We are a team that has a reputation of being extremely competitive. I think that this year we have proved that with teamwork we are consistent, and it is this consistency that is so important to us. Of course we want to win, that’s why everyone is here, but what we really want is to be the number one team in all ways at the end of the season,” car owner James Finch said.

Be sure to watch Team Yellow continue their run for the championship in this week's Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200 at Nazareth Speedway. The race will be aired live on FX and broadcast live on MRN beginning at 1:00 ET on Sunday, May 18, 2003. Qualifying for the event will take place Saturday, May 17 at 3:35 pm ET and will be aired on Speedchannel.
