TEAM MARINES RACING NOTES & QUOTES:
Last weekend at Gateway International Raceway Hamilton, Jr. grabbed his
first top-5 of the season, which propelled him back into the top-10 in the
NASCAR Busch Series standings. Hoping for a repeat performance this week,
the Team Marines head to Nazareth Speedway where Hamilton, Jr. has two
top-10 finishes in his last three starts at the one-mile track.
Bobby Hamilton, Jr. on Nazareth:
"I like the track because it's different and has its own unique
characteristics. There's no other track on the circuit like it and that's
what makes it a fun place to drive. It's next to impossible to get the car
to handle perfectly all the way around the track because every turn is so
different that you end up having to compromise a little bit. It's one of
those flat, slick tracks that this team usually prevails at. We had a great
run last weekend at Gateway which put us back into the top ten in points, so
I think that after a bit of slump in the beginning of the season the Team
Marines are back and headed in the right direction."
Fred Wanke on Nazareth:
"Nazareth is a pretty unique track. You can't compare it to anywhere else.
Drivers either love it or they hate it. Each turn is different with varying
degree of banking. We're focused on having a good qualifying run, holding
our track position and having quick pit stops. That's the way to win a race
at Nazareth."
Equipment:
The No. 25 Team Marines will compete with chassis No. 10 this weekend at
Nazareth Speedway. This is the same chassis that Hamilton, Jr. competed
with in Las Vegas (34th - engine) and Richmond (10th).
