Hornaday Nabs Nazareth Victory
Ron Hornaday won the Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200 at Nazareth Speedway in dominating fashion. Hornaday led 148 of the event’s 200 laps and outdistanced Brian Vickers on his way to the checkered flag. The win was the first for Hornaday in 63 races and the third of his Busch Grand National career. Vickers crossed the stripe in second place, while Mike Bliss finished in the third spot. David Green came home in fourth and added to his slim lead in the series points. Green entered the event five points ahead of Todd Bodine and left with a 10-point lead after Bodine finished one spot behind him in fifth.
LaJoie Roars to Nazareth Pole Position
Randy LaJoie roared to the pole position for the Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200 at the Nazareth Speedway. LaJoie easily outdistanced the field, winning the top starting spot by over a mile an hour over the second-place qualifier. Qualifying in 27.024 seconds, at an average speed of 133.215 mph, LaJoie earned his second pole of the season. Stacy Compton will start from the second spot, while Ron Hornaday and Mike Bliss start from row two.
