Sam's Town 250 - Kyle Busch Notes

BUSCH TO RUN MEMPHIS: On Saturday, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet, will make his fifth career Busch Series start in his second-ever appearance at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park. In 2002, Busch started 20th and finished 23rd at the .75-mile oval while competing in the American Speed Association Series (ASA).

MONSTERS INVADE MEMPHIS: Busch's No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet will have a different look this weekend in Memphis as the car will feature Universal Studios' "The Mummy." The Wolf Man, Frankenstein and Dracula will haunt three other Busch Series cars.

87 TEAM TESTS MEMPHIS: The No. 87 ditech.com team spent two days testing at Memphis in September in preparation for Saturday's Sam's Town 250. They also visited Atlanta Motor Speedway, where the Busch Series will race on Oct. 25, for two days of testing this week.

COMING UP: Busch is slated to drive the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet in two additional Busch Series events this season following Memphis -- Atlanta and North Carolina Speedway. In four previous starts this season, the 18-year-old has posted two runner-up finishes, at Lowe's Motor Speedway and Darlington.

KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 87 DITECH.COM CHEVROLET: (ON RUNNING A SPECIAL PAINT SCHEME THIS WEEKEND.) "It's pretty neat to be part of this special promotion between Action Performance, Memphis Motorsports Park and Universal Studios. Memphis wasn't originally on my schedule to run this year, but I'm glad I was chosen to carry a special paint scheme because it gives me another opportunity to race in the Busch Series and gain more seat time."

BUSCH: (CAN YOU PUT YOURSELF AND THE MUMMY IN VICTORY LANE AT MEMPHIS?) "We're going to give it our best shot. We had a successful test there a couple of weeks ago and I think if we can duplicate what we did then, everything should really work out well for this weekend. It's one of the few tracks on my Busch schedule that I've raced prior to joining Hendrick Motorsports."
