NOTES
100 years old…In addition to The Milwaukee Mile & Harley Davidson observing their 100th anniversary, there is another Milwaukee company also 100 years old. Allen-Bradley, a division of Rockwell Automation, is also celebrating the century milestone. Headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, Allen-Bradley opened its doors on December 18, 1903. To honor Allen-Bradley offering a century of quality products, the #20 Rockwell Automation will feature a special paint scheme when it takes to the track at The Milwaukee Mile.
Where is the #20 Car…In honor of the Allen-Bradley’s 100th anniversary, the Rockwell Automation Chevrolet will deviate from its normal red & white paint scheme to a black car with gold decals. Also featured on the car will be a picture of the Allen-Bradley clock tower, which has been an icon of the Milwaukee skyline since 1963. The Allen-Bradley Clock tower is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest four-faced clock in the world (bigger than Big Ben).
History at Milwaukee…Mike Bliss has been quite successful at the Milwaukee Mile. In four Craftsman Truck Series races, Bliss has won once, 2 top-five finishes & 3 top-ten finishes. He also has one Busch Series start where qualified in the top five. Bliss has an average start of 8th & an average finish of 12th. He has completed 99% of the laps that he has attempted.
Chassis Info… This week the #20 team is bringing Chassis #1827. This car is one of Mike Bliss’s favorite cars. The first race for car #1827 was the Charter 250 in St. Louis, MO, where Bliss dominated the field but ran out of gas on the last lap to finish 12th. The #20 team also took car #1827 to Nazareth, PA where Bliss brought the car home in the 3rd position.
