GNC Live Well 250 - Jason Schuler Notes
Cambridge, Wisconsin - June 25, 2003 – The Milwaukee Mile means a week at home for Jason Schuler and the Havill-Spoerl Racing. After a disappointing finish at Kentucky due to a broken rocker arm, the team was glad to see a two week stretch at home before the GNC 250 at The Mile. As the track is only 57 miles from the team’s base in Cambridge, it means more time to prep for Milwaukee and the second half of the season, and less time on the road.
Jason and the team are looking for good qualifying effort and a strong run in front of the hometown fans on Sunday. With any luck the team has overcome the mechanical gremlins that have hurt several good runs this season.
The most important thing though for the team is that it is their first year in the Busch Series, it is the middle of the season and they are still going despite the lack of primary sponsor. Success can be tracked by point standings and race results, it can also be measured by ways that do not show up in a press kit or driver bio.
Jason and his crew are there every week, doing what it takes to put the car on the track, race after race, week after week. Doing what you want to do in life, that is success.
