Sam’s Town 300 - Stanton Barrett Notes

STANTON BARRETT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
FAST FACTS

Team: No. 60 Roush Racing
Sponsors: OdoBan
Owner: Jack Roush
Driver: Stanton Barrett
Crew Chief: Kevin Starland

Chassis Number: (JR-73) - The OdoBan Racing Team will take JR-73 to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. JR-73 was constructed during the off-season and it turned in the fastest lap time during preseason testing at Las Vegas.

Last Week: Barrett scored a solid 19th-place finish at North Carolina Speedway despite a flat tire which forced an unscheduled green flag pit stop.

This Week: Barrett, a Los Angeles native, returns to the West Coast for this weekend's race. His parents as well as over 15 family and friends will be in attendance.

Stanton Barrett on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
"I love racing at Vegas. There are plenty of grooves and the track is very forgiving. The OdoBan Taurus turned in the quickest practice time when we tested there in January, so I am looking forward to being very competitive this weekend. We got off to a slow start at Daytona, but our finish at Rockingham gave us something to build on. My goal this weekend is to stay out of trouble, finish on the lead lap, and get our best finish of the year."

Stanton Barrett on racing on the West Coast:
"I am going to have over 15 friends and relatives at the track with me this weekend, some are driving in from L.A. and the others are coming from my family's ski resort, Mammoth Mountain. Although I have spent much of my time in NC, trying to start my racing career, this season is the first time I have lived here full-time. It is a long way from my family and friends, so I consider going to Vegas a homecoming of sorts. You want to do well there so people understand why you moved away to pursue this dream."

Weekly OdoBan use:
A quick clean for mildewed race uniforms - After torrential rain last Saturday, the OdoBan crew stashed their uniforms in the hauler until Monday's rain delayed start. Monday morning they were met with a most unpleasant odor. But a few sprays of OdoBan and they were ready to start the day off, disinfected and smelling right.
