Wimmer on Homestead: Scott Wimmer, driver of the No. 23 Stacker 2/YJ Stinger Chevrolet, is the defending race winner at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

"The win at Homestead was really special last year," said Wimmer. "It is a lot of fun to win the final race of the year as it ends your season on a high-note that can carry you through the off-season. We had a great setup last year for the race, but with the track changes, everyone will have to start from scratch this year. Hopefully, with getting some laps there during the Goodyear tire test, we'll have a bit of an advantage over the other few teams."

Homestead Test: Wimmer took part in a two-day Goodyear Tire test at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Oct. 28th and 29th.

"Testing is never a favorite of drivers, but I was excited to get the first look at the new Homestead track during the Goodyear tire test," said Wimmer. "I think they did a really good job and I like the new banking. It seems like it will be similar to Chicagoland a little bit. During the test, we stayed pretty much around the bottom and the banking will provide more grooves to run on, but I'm not sure if the higher grooves will come in for this first race there. It may help having all three series there that week, but we'll just have to wait and see."

"The new asphalt will provide more grip which all the drivers will really like," said Wimmer. "The tracks with new pavement always seem to get tighter as the race goes on, so having adjustability in your car will be important for the race. You'll need everything there to be successful: aerodynamics, horsepower and a great handling car.

Appearance: On Sunday, November 16th, Wimmer will visit the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger interactive sampling/display trailer located on Homestead-Miami Speedway property. Please check with the trailer for exact time of appearance.

Equipment: Wimmer and the No. 23 Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team are taking the same car to Homestead they competed with earlier this year at Atlanta and Milwaukee.
