ASHTON LEWIS, JR. NOTES & QUOTES

“We have not run that well at Darlington, and I take a lot of the blame for that, just because so much of it depends on how fast you run for extended periods of time. You need to be fast over 50 laps versus fast over 25 laps. You might have to let some people pass you, then pass them later on if that’s what it takes for you to be consistent.”

“We are going to Darlington with a setup very similar to what we had at Rockingham. I feel like if we had not had the problem with the lapped cars there, we would have finished in the top 10 pretty easily. This setup should be strong.”

“I am looking forward to the Darlingtonraceway.com 200, I feel like I have learned more about the lines to drive, and that we can pull off a top 10 finish here. If we can do that, I will be very happy just because of our past experiences here. I am looking to move up in the points and have a strong finish, this team deserves it.”
