Wimmer on Daytona: Scott Wimmer, driver of the No. 23 YJ Stinger/ Stacker 2 Chevrolet, sat on the outside pole for last year's night race at Daytona.

"Survival is the name of the game at Daytona," said Wimmer. "Obviously, you need a car that is superior aerodynamically and has horsepower, but bottom line, you won't win if you don't survive first. Everyone knows superspeedway races bring out the big wrecks more often than not, so you have to miss that to be a factor at the end. I've been fortunate at Daytona in the past for the most part. I've been able to dodge the bullet during each race I've been in there except for last year's July race, where I got caught up in 'The Big One.' We've got a good car for this week's race, so hopefully we can keep it up front and miss the wreck when it happens. I'm also looking forward to running this race at night. Racing at Daytona is always prestigious, but this is the only time we have superspeedway racing at night, which makes it even more special. I know it is exciting for the teams and I can only imagine what the fans experience. It has got to be very cool to watch it from the stands."

New Paint Scheme: Wimmer and Winston Cup teammate, Kenny Wallace will sport new paint schemes this weekend at Daytona featuring YJ Stinger, Stacker 2's new lightly carbonated energy drink. The drink comes in three flavors: Pounding Punch, Sinful Citrus and Enraged Raspberry. Wimmer's paint scheme features the Sinful Citrus flavor, so his car will be green, while Wallace's car is red to promote the Enraged Raspberry flavor.

Equipment: The YJ Stinger/Stacker 2 Racing team is taking a brand new car to Daytona this weekend.

Appearances: Wimmer will make appearances at the following locations during the Daytona race weekend:
ˇ Wednesday, July 2nd from 6:00 pm - 8:00pm at the NASCAR Café at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
ˇ Thursday, July 3rd from 3:30pm - 4:00pm at Daytona USA.
ˇ Friday, July 4th at Stacker 2/YJ Stinger display trailer located in the Rio Bravo parking lot adjacent to Daytona International Speedway property. Please check with the trailer to confirm appearance time.
