Dale Jr. Dominates Daytona
Dale Earnhardt Jr. led every single lap of the Winn-Dixie 250 on Friday night, dominating the Busch Series event at Daytona International Speedway. Earnhardt is batting a cool 1.000 in Busch races this season, going 3 for 3 in winning every event that he has entered in 2003. In fact, Earnhardt has now won four straight Busch events, dating back to last season. Earnhardt started from the pole position and stayed out front for all 100 laps, leading from flag to flag, and beat Michael Waltrip to the checkered flag by .161 seconds. Waltrip secured second place, while Jamie McMurray finished third to give Winston Cup regulars a sweep of the top three spots. Ron Hornaday was best in class, finishing as the highest Busch regular in the fourth spot. Johnny Sauter came home fifth, followed by Scott Riggs in sixth. Riggs took the lead atop the Busch Series point standings for the second time this season, holding a two-point lead over David Green.
