Stacker 200 Presented by YJ Stinger - Kyle Busch Notes
BUSCH TO MAKE FOURTH START AT DOVER:
On Saturday, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet, will make his fourth career Busch Series start in his first-ever appearance at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Most recently, Busch drove to a second-place finish at Darlington -- his second runner-up showing in just three career Busch Series starts since joining Hendrick Motorsports in February.
DOVER TEST FOR 87:
The No. 87 ditech.com team spent two days testing at Dover last week in preparation for Saturday's Stacker 200 before traveling to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway later in the week to get ready for the Sept. 27 ARCA Series event at the 2.66-mile track.
BUSCH IN THREE AFTER DOVER:
Busch is slated to drive the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet in three additional Busch Series events this season following Dover. The races include Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park, Atlanta Motor Speedway and North Carolina Speedway. It was also announced two weeks ago that Busch will compete on the circuit full-time next season as driver of the No. 5 Chevrolets currently driven by Vickers.
BUSCH FINISHES SECOND AT VEGAS:
Busch returned to his hometown of Las Vegas on Saturday night for the final NASCAR Weekly Racing Series points event of the season. The 18-year-old finished second to Chris Clyne in the 75-lap Super Late Model event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway "Bullring."
KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 87 DITECH.COM CHEVROLET: (ON MOVING TO THE BUSCH SERIES FULL-TIME IN 2004.) "I'm really looking forward to next season and getting into the seat on a full-time basis, but I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself. I still have six races remaining this year that I'd like to really do well in to provide me with some momentum for 2004. It's a good feeling to have everything sorted out and to know I'll be moving to a championship-caliber team."
BUSCH: (ON DOVER.) "I had a lot of fun during our test at Dover. It's a tough place to get around having never been before. Once we spent some time there and I figured out the line, it became a lot of fun. We didn't set the world on fire during the test, but I think we'll be competitive."
