Waltrip Wins at Bristol
Michael Waltrip was the victor in Friday night’s Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Waltrip pulled a ‘bump-and-run’ on Ron Hornaday with 34 laps to go to take the lead and held on until the end to claim his first Busch series win of the season. Hornaday finished second and moved into the third position in the point standings. Ted Musgrave scored his career-best Busch finish, coming home in third. Shane Hmiel and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five in the finishing order.
Keller Nabs Bristol Pole Position
Jason Keller won the pole position for the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday afternoon. Keller set an event record with a qualifying lap of 15.226 seconds, at an average speed of 126.021 mph, to earn his second pole of the season and the 11th of his Busch series career. Kevin Harvick will start from the outside pole, while Brain Vickers and Michael Waltrip start from row two.
