Harvick Wins at Bristol
Kevin Harvick won the Channellock 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway to give Winston Cup regulars five wins in five Busch races this season. Harvick, the 2001 Busch Grand National champion, led the final 97 laps and held off Tony Raines to claim his third win at Bristol and the ninth win of his BGN career. Raines equaled his career-best finish, coming home in second place behind Harvick. Jason Keller was the top-finishing Busch series regular, crossing the finish line in the third position. Pole sitter David Green finished fourth, followed by Mike Bliss in fifth. The race featured 13 cautions for 77 laps and with only 23 cars running at the end.
Green on Busch Pole at Thunder Valley
David Green won the pole position for the Channellock 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Green qualified in 15.169 seconds, at an average speed of 126.495 mph, to set a new Bristol track record. For Green, the pole is his second in five races this season and the 21st of his Busch Grand National career. Jason Keller scored the outside-pole position and will start from the second spot. Tony Raines will start from the third position while Keller’s teammate Scott Riggs starts fourth.
