New England Financial to Sponsor Wimmer at Kansas Speedway
(September 19, 2002) -- Overland Park, Kansas-New England Financial in Kansas City and North Carolina-based Bill Davis Racing have announced that New England Financial will be an associate sponsor on the No. 23 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Scott Wimmer in the Mr. Goodcents 300 NASCAR Busch Series Race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, September 28th. This is a sold-out race with an expected attendance of over 75,000 people in the grandstands.
According to Brad Dulny, Marketing Director for New England Financial, the sponsorship was a natural fit. "We specialize in helping clients pave the way to financial freedom," said Jay Carey, Managing Partner of New England Financial. "At our firm we work as a team to help each one of our clients achieve their financial goals. We are really like a pit crew for our clients." Dulny also remarked that many of their clients, staff and vendors are long-time NASCAR enthusiasts. "Everyone is very excited about our participation in the race."
Everyone is also interested in meeting driver Scott Wimmer. "We will be hosting several events the week of the race to share our sponsorship experience with our clients and advisory boards," said Dulny. "For example, members of the Kansas City Construction Network, an organization founded by New England Financial and made up of local construction industry leaders, will be hosting Wimmer at their September meeting. Also, many clients, vendors and staff of New England Financial will be at the race to show their support of Scott and the car sponsorship."
"We are committed to the relationships and interests of our clients, vendors and staff and we look forward to partnering with everyone on the 28th to support our driver, Scott Wimmer," Dulny said.
Wimmer is currently third in NASCAR Busch Series Championship Standings (as of 9/20/2002) behind runner-up Jason Keller and current points leader Greg Biffle. In addition, Wimmer has posted seven top-five and 13 top-10 finishes during the 2002 season (through the Funai 250 race at Richmond Raceway). Wimmer barely missed making the top-10 in the NASCAR Busch Series Championship Final Standings in 2001, finishing 11th in his rookie season.
Bill Davis Racing is thrilled to have New England Financial as a sponsor for the Kansas City event. "We are certainly excited to have New England Financial involved with our team," said car owner, Bill Davis. "We hope that this experience shows them what NASCAR is all about and look forward to their involvement with our organization in the future. Our goal is to get the No. 23 car to victory lane."
