Channellock Welcomes New Little Gripper

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 12, 2002) – Channellock is proud to announce the newest addition to its gripping family. Friday morning, September 6, 2002, Channellock Racing added a new member to its team roster. Karis Olivia Menudier joined the Channellock Racing team at 10:11 a.m., weighing in at six pounds, 14 ounces. Karis’ grip length was 20 inches.

Karis is the first child of Robert Yates Racing’s Busch Series head fabricator, Nick Menudier and wife Meredith. Nick spends his time working in the shop, preparing the No. 98 Channellock Ford Taurus’ that Kasey Kahne drives. Menudier also travels with the team on raceday.

“You can tell that Karis belongs in the Channellock family,” explained proud papa Menudier. “She has Channellock Blue eyes.”

Mom and baby went home Sunday morning and both are doing well. Menudier will take the next few weeks off from the road to spend time with his new baby girl in their Sherrill’s Ford, NC home.
