Bush's Baked Beans Joins ST Motorsports as Associate Sponsor
Knoxville, Tenn. (November 21, 2002) - Bush's Baked Beans, America's
favorite brand of baked beans, announced plans today to team up with ST
Motorsports and driver Stacy Compton for the 2003 NASCAR Busch Series
Season.
Mike Morris, Bush's Baked Beans senior brand manager explained the
partnership, "We are extremely excited to be teaming up with Kingsford
Charcoal and the other barbecue brands on the #59 car next season. We know
that our consumers love NASCAR and this is another way of showing them we
appreciate their loyalty. The partnership also gives us new and exciting
merchandising ideas for our retail partners during the 2003 grilling
season."
Team owner Tad Geschickter commented, "We are the 'Barbeque on wheels' car
and we're excited that Bush's Baked Beans is partnering with other barbecue
category leaders on our entry next season. Shoppers will be able to get all
of their grilling needs met next year by supporting the sponsors of the #59
car - Kingsford Charcoal, KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce, Hidden Valley Salad
Dressing, Johnsonville Sausage, and Bush's Baked Beans. It's fun to see a
plan like this come together. Retailers will be impressed with the NASCAR
tools available with our program to help jazz up their stores next year."
In 2002, driver Stacy Compton finished his first Busch Series season in 9th
place in NASCAR Busch Series points including three runner-up finishes, five
top fives, and eleven top tens.
