Last race – Milwaukee … Kevin Grubb qualified 13th and finished 3rd in the GNC Live Well 250 at The Milwaukee Mile last Sunday. It was Grubb’s first top five finish of the 2001 season and his second consecutive top ten race (Kentucky – 8th). Grubb led two laps in the GNC 250. On the strength of his third place finish, Grubb gained three positions in the overall Busch Series points to stand 19th after seventeen races. It’s the highest Grubb has been in the points all season.

"Wunder" Tackles the Road Course … Kevin Grubb will drive "Wunder", the Timber Wolf Racing road course car, in the GNC Live Well 200 this weekend. It’s the same car that Grubb has driven in the two previous trips to the 2.45-mile road course. "Wunder" got his name because, being the road course car, the crew would "wonder" every time the car took the track if it would come back to them.

Kevin Grubb on the GNC Live Well 200 and Watkins Glen …

"I can’t wait for this weekend at Watkins Glen. Last year, I had a flat tire with seven laps to go while running seventh. In ’99, I had ignition trouble on the first lap. After repairs, I had lap speeds with the top five. So, I figure I’m due for better luck this year. I love road courses. It’s different and you can drive the wheels off getting around it. Coming off two strong races (Kentucky and Milwaukee), I want to keep our momentum going with another top ten at least. "Wunder" is a super road course car that will be very competitive this weekend. This week starts the second half of the season and the Timber Wolf Team is going to be a force in these remaining sixteen races."
