Autolite/Fram 250 - Richmond International Raceway

 

Spencer Pulls Richmond Sweep
Jimmy Spencer won the Autolite/Fram 250 Friday night at Richmond International Raceway, holding off Matt Kenseth to take the checkered flag. Spencer led 169 of the race's 250 laps to sweep both races at Richmond this season. Spencer has won three times in 2001 and 12 times in his Busch Grand National career. Kenseth crossed the stripe in second place, while Kevin Grubb finished third. Geoffrey Bodine finished in the fourth spot and Johnny Sauter, competing on his first BGN race, came home fifth.

Green Wins Richmond Pole
Jeff Green will lead the field to the green flag for the Autolite/Fram 250 at Richmond International Raceway on Friday night. Green qualified in 21.579 seconds, at an average speed 125.122 mph, to grab his second pole position of the season. Ryan Newman will join Green on the front row, starting from the outside pole, while Jimmy Spencer and Jay Sauter make out row two.
