Hardee's 250 - Kevin Harvick Notes

HARVICK ON RICHMOND

"We're going get a different look at Richmond this weekend. They have fixed the bump going into turn one and have resealed the track so we're going to have to figure it out."

"Some of the keys are that you can't drive it in too far into the corners and we're going to try to keep the car on the bottom until the sealer wears out. If it does, then we'll run a little higher, on the top, on fresh sealer. Sometimes, though, the sealer will last the entire weekend so we'll have to adjust if the track changes and be ready if it doesn't."

"We're going to work to make sure we have grip up off of (Turn) two and carry a lot of momentum through (turns) three and four. You can't drive it in too deep because it kills you in the middle. How you get in the corners determines how much speed you can carry through it and how well you accelerate up off."

LAST YEAR AT RICHMOND

"We ran really well in both races last year. We had a shot at running for the win in the second race until we broke a rear end gear. We damaged it, but it would still get the power to the rear wheels, but both rear tires were spinning at the same rate. That made the car push like a pig and we couldn't stay on the lead lap."

* Harvick finished in 20th position after starting seventh in September

* He finished third after starting ninth in the Spring race last year.
