Hardee's 250 - Richmond International Raceway

 

Spencer Dominates at Richmond
Jimmy Spencer held off Tony Raines to win his first Busch Grand National series race since 1998, when Spencer won at Las Vegas. Spencer, a Winston Cup regular, dominated the Busch competition, leading 192 of the event's 250 laps. The win is the ninth BGN victory in Spencer's career. Mike Skinner, Matt Kenseth, and Kevin Harvick made out the top five, giving four of the top five positions to Winston Cup drivers.

Kenseth Roars to Richmond BGN Pole
Matt Kenseth set a new track record on his way to the pole position for the Hardee's 250 at Richmond International Raceway. Kenseth qualified in 21.466 seconds, at speed 125.780 mph, to take his third pole of the season. Kenny Wallace grabbed the outside pole and Jimmy Spencer took the third spot to give the top three starting spots to Winston Cup regulars. Ryan Newman and Jeff Green rounded out top five.
