Nazareth 200 - Nate Monteith Notes Nate Monteith Makes Busch Debut at Nazareth May 18, 2001 – A star will rise onto the Busch Series this weekend as 19-year old Nate Monteith of Bristol, Tennessee makes his Busch Series debut in Sunday’s Nazareth 200. Monteith finished 23rd earlier this season in the PFG Lester 150 ARCA race at Nashville Superspeedway. Now Nate will get his shot at the big time, moving into his first Busch Series race with Jay Robinson Racing. Monteith will start in the #94 King Pharmaceuticals Pontiac as a teammate to Robby Faggart. “We are really excited about our first Busch race this weekend. We are going to try to make the best we can out of it. Our main goals this weekend are to qualify on time and try to keep our nose clean in the race. If we can do those two things, hopefully we can finish in the top-20,” said Monteith. Nate hails from the world of Late Model racing, where he began at the age of 16. He went on to run several ARCA races including this year’s race at the new Nashville Superspeedway. Now he looks toward this weekend’s debut in the Busch Series with hopes of making a good impression. “We are hoping we can do something positive this weekend so that people will notice us. If we can impress some people, maybe some companies will want to come on board and help us take this team to the next level,” said Monteith. Monteith will be running this weekend’s race with King Pharmaceuticals as his primary sponsor. He will also be carrying the logos of Performance Fabrication, which is a new business Monteith and crew chief Zandel Bowers have started. The new shop will focus on every aspect of fabrication of racecars, looking to assist teams in the Busch Series and other racing series in building high- quality bodies for their cars. The new shop will be located in Bristol, Tennessee. For more information on Performance Fabrication, please call 877-538-0938.
