GNC Live Well 250 - The Milwaukee Mile
Biffle Wins at Milwaukee
Rookie Greg Biffle's fuel mileage gamble payed off in a huge way, giving him the win in the GNC Live Well 250 at The Milwaukee Mile. Biffle stretched his final tank of gas for a remarkable 104 miles to outdistance Matt Kenseth and take his third win of the 2001 season. Biffle led for 19 of the event's 250 laps, including the final 16, while Kevin Harvick led the most laps, staying out front for 165 circuits. Following second-place Kenseth in the finishing order was Kevin Grubb, Harvick, and Jason Keller.
Harvick on Milwaukee Pole
While most Winston Cup regulars are enjoying their last weekend off for 20 weeks, Kevin Harvick is in Milwaukee enjoying his fifth Busch pole position of the season. Harvick qualified in 29.394 seconds, at an average speed of 122.474 mph, to break the track record at The Milwaukee Mile. Greg Biffle will join Harvick on the front row, starting second, while the ppc teammates of Jason Keller and Jeff Green start from row two.
