Clay Rogers, Kenseth's teammate, took over driving duties of the No. 17 car during the three non-companion events since the Chicago race. MICHIGAN SUCCESS: With three top-10 finishes in four Busch Series starts at Michigan International Speedway, Matt Kenseth has flourished at the two-mile track. Kenseth finished eighth last year at Michigan after starting from the outside of the front row. His best Busch Series finish at Michigan came in 1998 when he finished third. ROGERS SCHEDULED FOR BRISTOL: Clay Rogers is scheduled to be back in the No. 17 Visine Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee for the Food City 250 on Aug. 24. The Bristol race will be Rogers' ninth NASCAR Busch Series event of 2001. He plans on competing in a total of 12 Busch Series races this season, and he has four races left. OWNERS' POINTS STANDINGS: Reiser Enterprises holds the 12th spot in the owners' points standings with 2,490 points through 22 NASCAR Busch Series events. MATT KENSETH'S Comments on MICHIGAN: "It's going to be the first time in a month that I've run both cars the same weekend. Michigan tends to be a quick race with few cautions. We'll try and make the most of quick green-flag pit stops if we have to. We seem to run real well at Michigan, so we're pretty confident about our chances of finishing at or near the front." CREW CHIEF RUSS STRUPP'S COMMENTS ON MICHIGAN: "We're taking 'Chassis No. 2' to Michigan. That car has won at California twice. We need to get back on track after the last few races. Bad luck has found us quite a bit lately. We're well rested after the weekend off and ready to go to Michigan. Matt will be one of the favorites up there. We have high hopes of getting the pole and moving back into the top 10 in owners' points. Hopefully, we'll put it all together this weekend for our first win at Michigan." Last Race (Aug. 4, Kroger 200, IRP): Under the lights, Clay Rogers showed flashes of brilliance behind the wheel of the No. 17 Visine Chevrolet while competing in the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. In his eighth race of the 2001 season, the 20-year-old rookie sprinted to the lead pack during the second half of the event before getting caught up in a late-race accident with Scott Wimmer to finish 30th. LAST YEAR'S NAPAONLINE.COM 200 (Aug. 19, 2000): Matt Kenseth put the Visine Chevrolet on the outside of the front row for last year's NAPAOnline.com 250 at Michigan International Speedway.
