Mr. Goodcents 300 - Kansas Speedway
Green Wins Second in a Row
Jeff Green is on a roll. Green nabbed his second straight Busch Grand National win, taking the checkered flag in the inaugural race at the Kansas Speedway. Green scored his eighth top-ten finish in the last ten races and won for the fourth time this season. With the win, Green moved into second place in the point standings, trailing Kevin Harvick by 187 points. Pole setter Kevin Lepage led the most laps on the day, leading for 96 of 200 circuits, while Green led for 29 laps. Hank Parker Jr. finished second, 2.129 seconds behind Green's Ford. Greg Biffle came home in the third spot, while Matt Kenseth and Jason Keller made out the top five.
Lepage on Kansas City Busch Pole
Kevin Lepage will lead the field to the green flag for the first time at Kansas Speedway, capturing the pole position for the Mr. Goodcents 300. Lepage turned in a qualifying lap of 30.997 seconds, at an average speed of 174.210 mph, to give him his second pole of the season; one as a car owner. Point leader Kevin Harvick will join Lepage on the front row, starting second, while Robby Gordon and Jeff Burton make out row two.
