"I love racing on short tracks, because you can get away with beating and banging more than you can on a big speedway," said Green. "The only thing you have to worry about is who you are beating and banging with. If you trust the guy it can be a lot of fun. If you don’t trust him, then it isn't much fun at all; it becomes more stressful." "Track position is everything at IRP, which means qualifying is key" said Green. "Short tracks may be fun to race, but passing is very hard. The best way to win is to start up front and stay there." Triple Duty: Green becomes the first driver to attempt to run the Winston Cup event, the Busch event and the IROC race in one weekend at Indianapolis. Jeff Green on the Future of IRP: With the rumors that NASCAR will change the race in Indianapolis from IRP to IMS, Green shares his thoughts on changing the venue. "As much as I love racing on short tracks, I really would like if it NASCAR moved the Busch race to IMS," said Green. "Our sport is growing every day and we need to grow with it. The big tracks are such nicer facilities and are able to seat so many more people, which is what NASCAR needs to draw more fans." Equipment: Green and his Nesquik Racing team are taking the same car to IRP that they raced earlier this year at Loudon, Nazareth and Milwaukee. It finished in the top-10 in all those events. Single Day Shows: Saturday's Kroger 200 event at Indianapolis Raceway Park is the only one-day show for the NBS circuit this season. In previous years, the Busch Series has raced several day shows, however, IRP is the only one on the schedule this year. Jeff Green Short Track Statistics: Of Green's twelve career NBS wins, six wins occurred on short tracks.
