GNC Live Well 300 - Jason Keller Notes

Albertson's / Jason Keller GNC Live Well 300 Race Preview

Jason Keller Notes:

Keller captured his 100th NASCAR Busch Series career top-10 finish at Rockingham last weekend. He became only the 12th driver in series history to reach the 100 mark.

Keller continues to prove he is the most consistent driver in the Busch Series. He has completed 6,207 laps out of 6,256 laps this season. He has failed to complete only 49 laps in 2001. That is a completion rate of 99.22 percent.

Keller currently sits third in the championship standings. While Kevin Harvick clinched the championship last weekend at Rockingham, Keller is only 15 points behind second-place driver Jeff Green.

100th Top-10 Finish... Keller earned his 100th top-10 finish in his NASCAR Busch Series career with a fourth-place effort at North Carolina Speedway. Keller captured his first top 10 at the same track in 1993. Keller is only the 12th driver in Busch Series history to reach this milestone.

Jason Keller Quotes:

"I wasn't sure what it would feel like to reach 100 top 10s," said Keller. "It definitely means more to me than I thought it would. I think about where my career started and where I am now, and it makes me realize how fortunate I have been. I have never made it a secret that I love the Busch Series, and I'm looking forward to attaining my next 100.

"I have 22 top 10's this season heading to Homestead. There was a time when that was good enough for the championship. I think that says a lot about the caliber of teams and drivers in this series."

The Final Race of 2001... Keller and the Albertson's team tested at Homestead-Miami Speedway a few weeks ago. The test went well for the team and they are looking for a strong finish to the 2001 season.

"Our test went really well at Homestead," said Keller. "I'm looking forward to ending the season on a high note. We've accomplished the majority of the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season. We've been one of the most consistent teams all year long and that is a big accomplishment. Regardless of whether I finish second or third in the championship standings, this has been a career year for me and another great year for ppc Racing."
