GNC Live Well 300 - Homestead-Miami Speedway

Nemechek Captures Busch Finale
At the track that claimed the life of his brother in 1997, Joe Nemechek captured his third career win at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Nemechek was the benefactor of 2001 Busch Grand National champion Kevin Harvick's blown engine, as Harvick dominated most of the day, leading 128 of the event's 200 laps before his engine expired. Nemechek led for 13 laps on the day, including the most important one, the final lap, to win for the second time this season. Elton Sawyer crossed the finish line in second place, followed by Greg Biffle in the third spot. The Pontiac of Scott Wimmer and the Chevrolet of Matt Kenseth made out the top five.
