MBNA.com 200 - Dover Downs International Speedway
Green Wins at Dover
Defending Busch Grand National champion Jeff Green took the checkered flag first in the MBNA.com 200 at Dover Downs International Speedway. Green used a two-tire stop to propel himself to his third win of the 2001 season and the 13th win of his career. Green led for 21 of the event's 200 laps, while Ryan Newman led for 140 laps. Kenny Wallace followed Green across the stripe, finishing in the second spot. Jimmy Spencer finished third, while Chad Little and Greg Biffle made out the top five.
Newman Grabs Dover Pole
Rookie Ryan Newman won his fifth Busch pole of the season, grabbing the top-starting spot for the MBNA.com 200 at Dover Downs International Speedway. Newman qualified in 23.131 seconds, at an average speed of 155.635, to tie Kevin Harvick for the series lead in pole positions this season. Jeff Green will join Newman on the front row, starting second, while Mike Skinner and Harvick start third and fourth respectively.
