South Carolina 200 - Jimmie Johnson Notes Johnson to “Play it Cool” at Darlington CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 29, 2001) - Jimmie Johnson and the Excedrin Racing team are playing it cool this Labor Day weekend. The Herzog Motorsports team will make their Excedrin Tension Headache Cooling Pads debut in the Dura Lube 200 at Darlington Raceway. The Tension Headache Cooling Pads are the newest product in Excedrin’s line of headache relief. The royal blue Cooling Pads paint scheme will circle the South Carolina track, reminding fans about the Cooling Pads Redemption program. Cooling Pads-diecast cars are packaged with 100-count Excedrin Extra Strength, Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin Aspirin-Free and can be found at Wal*Mart locations nationwide. Fans have the opportunity to mail the diecast car and entry form for a chance to win a NASCAR scanner. The Cooling Pads diecast car will also be signed personally by driver Jimmie Johnson and returned to the sender. “We’ve had a great turn out so far and the program has only been running for a month,” said Johnson. “We still have two more months to go. Hopefully, we will have even more Cooling Pads car redemptions. It’s exciting to run a new paint scheme and the Cooling Pads Chevrolet Monte Carlo will look great at Darlington Raceway.” Johnson hopes the new Excedrin Cooling Pads paint scheme will bring the team better luck the second time around at the “Lady in Black”. After running up front all afternoon in the March event at Darlington Raceway, Johnson finished 32nd when the motor in the No. 92 Excedrin Chevrolet Monte Carlo blew with just 14 laps to go. “The Excedrin Racing team had a great run going back in March,” stated Johnson. “It was unfortunate to have a motor blow up on us, but it doesn’t happen very often. We plan to come back this weekend and keep the No. 92 Excedrin Cooling Pads Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the front of the field.” The team will unload the Excedrin Cooling Pads Chevrolet Monte Carlo for qualifying on Friday afternoon at Darlington Raceway. The 25th race of the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series season will air live on Saturday, September 1 on the TNT Television Network and MRN Radio Network starting at 12:30 p.m. EST. New Excedrin Tension Headache Cooling Pads provide fast relief from tension headache discomfort and may be used along with other Excedrin products. They are designed to provide relief from tension headache discomfort while your Excedrin pain medication begins to relieve the pain. The Cooling Pads are available in a seven-count package. Excedrin is a family of non-prescription pain relievers for safe and effective pain relief for a range of headache types. Excedrin is produced by Bristol-Myers Squibb, a leading diversified worldwide health and personal care company, whose principle businesses are medications, nutritionals and medical devices.
