South Carolina 200 - Jeff Green Notes
Jeff Green Fast Facts Jeff Green On Darlington: Jeff Green, 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus, scored his first win at Darlington Raceway in the spring event of this year. "Winning at Darlington is the most prestigious win in my Busch career so far," said Green. " Darlington is the type of track where you are your own worst enemy. You have to race the racetrack and the driver, just as much as the car, is a huge factor in winning. Some tracks are all about having a great car, but Darlington is a true combination of both driver and machine. It was such an exciting win for my Nesquik Racing team and I hope we can do it again this fall." $5 Million Dollar Man: Green and Randy LaJoie are in a race to see who will reach the $5 million mark in career NBS earnings. According to NASCAR's stats, LaJoie currently holds the top spot with $4,955,263 in career earnings and Green is second with earnings of $4,900,322. Depending on where each finishes this weekend, Green has the opportunity to pass LaJoie in the rankings and possibly reach the $5 million mark first. Equipment: Green and his Nesquik Racing team are taking the same car to Darlington that competed earlier this year at Charlotte, where it won, and at Pikes Peak, where it finished second. In its six starts this year, the car has logged four top-five finishes.
