Auto Club 300 - California Speedway
Parker Jr. Claims First Win at Fontana
To Hank Parker Jr. his first career Busch Grand National win was a gas. Parker was able to gamble on fuel mileage and win the Auto Club 300 at the California Speedway. While all other competitors had to stop for fuel, Parker was able to stretch his gas milage to the end. Jeff Purvis, who also did not stop for fuel, finished second, while Jeff Green, Kevin Lepage, and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five.
Hamilton Jr. Takes Auto Club 300 Pole

Tony Raines will start from the outside pole, followed by Greg Biffle and Jeff Green in the second row.
