Food City 250 - Jeff Green Notes

Jeff Green Fast Facts
Bristol Motor Speedway – August 24, 2001

Jeff Green On Bristol: Jeff Green, 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus, finished third in the fall night race last year at Bristol Motor Speedway.

"Bristol is one of those tracks if you just survive until the end, you'll probably wind up with a good finish," said Green. "Qualifying well is important in missing the wrecks that usually happen in the back of the field. That happened to the Nesquik Racing team this spring and it wasn't any fun. I usually run pretty well at Bristol and that is one track I haven't won at that I would give anything to get into victory lane."

Track Qualifying Record: Green holds the NBS track qualifying record at Bristol set on March 24, 2000 at a speed of 124.428 mph.

Equipment: Green and his Nesquik Racing team are taking the same car to Bristol that they ran earlier this year at Nashville and Kentucky. The car qualified on the outside pole for both of those races.

Double Duty: Green continues his tour of double duty with the No. 30 AOL Chevrolet on the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit with Richard Childress Racing. This is the fifth of the seven scheduled races for Green in that car. The remaining races are Richmond and Charlotte.

Jeff Green Appearance: Jeff Green will appear at the Food City Family Race Night on Thursday, August 23rd on State Street in Bristol. Green will sign autographs from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
