Aaron's 312 - Mark Green Notes

Mark Green Atlanta Preview

Race Information
Race: Aaron's 312 (312-miles/ 203 laps)
Track: Atlanta Motor Speedway
Distance: 1.54 miles
Television: FX networks (12:30 p.m.)
Radio: PRN Radio (1:00 p.m.)
Mark Green on Atlanta: "I think we'll be okay for Atlanta if we can get through the race without anything bad happening. The last two races we have had some sort of problem with the car, and that has kept us from finishing in the top-10 like we should be. If we can stay out of trouble, and keep the car running for the entire race without any malfunctions, we should have a good run there."

Last Week at Vegas: Mark Green and the #55 Davis & Weight Motorsports team had high hopes for last weekend's Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but those hopes were quickly dashed as a loose lug nut in the first laps of the race forced the team to pit early. The pit stop on lap 39 came at the worst possible time, as the caution flag flew with Mark Green in the pits. Other teams were able to pit under the yellow flag, leaving Mark Green and the crew with no chance of gaining back the two laps lost in the pits. Green would bring the #55 home in one piece in 32nd position, after starting the race in 17th.
