Parker Jr. To Run Special NASCAR® Kid's Multi Paint Scheme In Kansas
-Car Design Will Promote NASCAR Licensed Kids Multi Dietary Supplement-
CONCORD, N.C. (Sept. 26) - Race fans at the Kansas Speedway may have a tough
time recognizing driver Hank Parker Jr.'s car during Saturday's Mr.
Goodcents 300 NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) event.
The familiar red, white and blue paint scheme of Parker's No. 36 GNC Live
Well Chevrolet will be replaced this weekend by a special design promoting a
new GNC (General Nutrition Centers) product for children.
Parker's car will be painted to match the packaging of GNC Live Well's new
children's multivitamin, NASCAR Kids Multi.
"Kansas Speedway is a new facility, and GNC's NASCAR Kids Multi is a new
product, so it seems natural to bring the two together," Parker said. "This
product is a fun way to help children get the vitamins and minerals they
need. I'm proud to help promote anything that can help kids live healthier,
happier lives."
NASCAR Kids Multi is a fruit punch-flavored multivitamin that comes in
three-dimensional, race car shapes. Each GNC race car shaped chewable
tablet supplies 100% of the daily value for most essential nutrients,
including vitamins A, D, and E, and iodine, zinc and copper to help
safeguard growing children's nutritional needs.
NASCAR Kids Multi, which is ideal for children age 6 to early teens, puts a
healthful spin on nutrition by including calcium, magnesium and vitamins C
and D that are essential in the development of healthy bones and teeth.
The product, which launched in July of this year, is another step in GNC's
growing involvement with NASCAR. In addition to its sponsorship of Hank
Parker Jr.'s No. 36 entry in the NBS, GNC has also been named the "Official
Vitamin Store of NASCAR."
The nation's largest specialty retailer of vitamin, mineral and herbal
supplements, sports nutrition and personal care and related products, GNC
has served as the title sponsor for no fewer than three NASCAR events this
season. The GNC Live Well 200 Craftsman Truck Series and GNC Live Well 250
NBS events were held at the Milwaukee Mile in Wisconsin on June 30 and July
1, while the GNC Live Well 250 NBS event was held at Watkins Glen
International raceway in New York one week later.
"GNC is proud of our involvement with NASCAR and its fans," said Roberta
Gaffga, GNC's Senior Vice President of Marketing. "We've designed this new
kid's multivitamin to reflect that strong partnership. Our goal with this,
and all GNC products, is to help NASCAR fans live their best lives."
As an added incentive, for a limited time GNC is offering a free special
1:64 diecast replica of Hank Parker's No. 36 Chevrolet with each NASCAR Kids
Multi purchase.
Since the launch of the NASCAR Kids Multi, the product has become one of the
fastest-selling children's multivitamin in GNC's history.
