Hills Bros Coffee to Sponsor Ashton Lewis Jr. at Chicagoland
HARRISON, NY (July 7) - Sara Lee Coffee and Tea has agreed to sponsor Busch
Series driver Ashton Lewis Jr. in the Hills Bros Coffee 300 presented by
SAM'S CLUB at the inaugural NASCAR event at Chicagoland Speedway on July 14.
"We are sponsoring Ashton Lewis Jr. in conjunction with our race sponsorship
at Chicagoland Speedway," said Henk de Back, President and CEO of Sara Lee
Coffee and Tea. "Ashton is having a quality season and we believe that he
will best represent Hills Bros Coffee at the race next weekend."
Hills Bros Coffee announced in June that it would sponsor the inaugural
Busch Series event at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. Hills Bros
Coffee will serve as the title sponsor of the event for the next three
years.
"I'm excited about having the Hills Bros Coffee colors on the car in
Chicago," Ashton Lewis Jr. said. "It's a great opportunity for our team,
Hills Bros Coffee, and Sara Lee. We want to help make the weekend a success
for all involved."
Ashton Lewis is currently 26th in the Busch Series points standings, posting
a season high fifth-place finish at Kentucky Motor Speedway in June. Lewis'
career highlights include a third-place finish at Watkins Glen in 1998 in
just his fourth career start in the series. Lewis has four top-10 starts
this season, including a fifth place start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"It's a flat track like Texas or Michigan," Lewis Jr. said. "It's very fast.
I like those types of tracks and seem to have some pretty good runs on flat
tracks."
Catch Ashton Lewis Jr. in the Hills Bros Coffee Chevrolet Monte Carlo on
Saturday, July 14 at the Chicagoland Speedway. NBC will broadcast the event,
which begins at 1:30 EDT.
