Albertson's 300 - Texas Motor Speedway
It's Martin Again
Just like in Atlanta, Mark Martin overcame a lengthy rain delay to win under the lights. The Albertson's 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway was delayed for some 4 1/2 hours by rain after only 19 laps. Martin won for the third time in four BGN races at Texas and for the fourth time in five races this season. Martin, winning his 44th career Busch race, kept the Winston Cup driver's streak alive at seven, out of the seven races this season, no Busch regular has visited Victory Lane.
Leffler Takes Texas Pole
Jason Leffler scored his first career Busch Grand National pole position on Thursday, taking the top starting spot for the Albertson's 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Leffler's lap of 29.276 seconds, at 184.451 mph, knocked BGN king Mark Martin out of the top spot. Martin will start second, Jay Sauter third, and Kevin Harvick fourth.
