Nemechek Wins at Talladega
After taking a week off last week, the Winston Cup drivers made a triumphant return to the Busch Grand National series. This time, Joe Nemechek took the victory in the Touchstone Energy 300 to become the first two-time BGN winner at Talladega. Nemecheck held off Buckshot Jones to take the checkered flag and claim his first win of the 2000 season.

Bodine Gets Talladega Pole
Todd Bodine will lead the field to the green flag for the Touchstone Energy 300 at Talladega, that is, assuming the rain will go away. After postponing Thursday's qualifying, rain eventually caused qualifying for the Busch Grand National race to be canceled and the field was set using owner points, previous series winners, and the qualifying draw.
