Outback Steakhouse 200 - Phoenix International Raceway

 

Burton Dominates at Phoenix
Jeff Burton put on a dominating performance at Phoenix International Raceway, leading 148 of the event's 200 laps, to take the victory in the Outback Steakhouse 200. Burton crossed the finish line .962 seconds over second-place Jason Leffler to take his fourth Busch win of the season. Mike Skinner finished the race third, while 2000 Busch Grand National champion Jeff Green and Ron Hornaday rounded out the top five.

Leffler Grabs Phoenix Pole
Jason Leffler grabbed his third pole position of the season, taking the top starting spot for the Outback Steakhouse 200 at Phoenix. Leffler turned in a qualifying lap of 27.490 seconds, at an average speed of 130.957 mph. 2000 Busch Grand National champion Jeff Green will start from the outside pole position, while Jeff Burton and Ron Hornaday round out the second row.
