Last race – Rockingham … In the Sam’s Club 200 at the North Carolina Speedway on October 21st, Kevin Grubb started 8th and finished 41st. The 8th-place starting position was Grubb’s career best at Rockingham. However, Grubb got tapped by Kevin Harvick on lap 81 and spun the Timber Wolf Chevrolet into the wall. The 41st-place finish dropped Grubb two positions to 12th in the overall Busch Series points. Grubb trails 11th-place Phil Parsons by 31 points and 10th-place Jimmie Johnson by 81 with three races remaining. Welcome back ol’ friend! … The car that Kevin Grubb will drive in the Sam’s Town 250 this weekend is called "Hunter". Grubb drove "Hunter" at Las Vegas and both Richmond races this year. In fact, Hunter has qualified in the top ten in all three races - 3rd at Vegas and 10th for both Richmond races. Hunter’s best finish is 5th at Richmond on September 8th. Hunter is named after Brewco owner Clarence Brewer Jr.’s friend, David Hunter, who passed away last season. David Hunter was known as "Brewco’s #1 Fan". Incidentally, Hunter has been Kevin Grubb’s favorite car in the Brewco stable. Hunter was totally rebuilt after being involved in a fiery crash at the first Richmond race. Grubb welcomed Hunter back for the second Richmond race, started 10th and finished 5th. Kevin Grubb on the Sam’s Town 250 and the Memphis Motorsports Park … "I’m really excited about going to Memphis. I had a great test session there with ‘Hunter’. I had a good top ten run there last year, and I really believe we can challenge for the win this year.
