BellSouth Mobility 320 - Nashville Speedway USA
LaJoie Wins Final Race at Nashville USA
Randy LaJoie claimed his 13th career Busch Grand National win, taking the checkered flag for the BellSouth Mobility 320 at Nashville. LaJoie beat second place Mike McLaughlin to win for the first time since February 1999 at Daytona. LaJoie lead the event for 76 laps and claimed his fifth career short-track win. After 43 years, the Nashville race is moving to a new 1.3 mile facility in 2001.
Atwood on Hometown Pole
Nashville native Casey Atwood will start from the top spot for the BellSouth Mobility 320 at his home track. Atwood toured the Nashville track in 19.235 seconds, at 111.547 mph, to score his fifth career pole position. Tim Fedewa will start from the outside pole, while Dick Trickle and Chad Chafin start third and fourth respectively.
