All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300 Post-Race Quotes

JEFF BURTON --9-- NorthernLight.com Taurus

HOW WAS YOUR DAY? "We got going pretty good there that last long run. I had closed up four seconds on the leader, but we were way back to start the race and lost all the track position. We pitted early because I just wanted to be safe, so we pitted early and then we had to pit again. It was kind of a cautious race. If we had caught a caution, I'm not saying we would have won, but we would have been contending because I was able to run on old tires. I couldn't see anybody and then I got to where I could see them, so I knew we were catching them."

DID THE TIRE CHANGE HAMPER YOU? "Well, it did but we didn't respond to it as well as some other people did, so that's our own fault. They threw a curve ball at us and we didn't swing right. That's our fault, not Goodyear's fault because we didn't adjust properly."

MARK MARTIN --60-- Winn Dixie Taurus

WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT LAST RUN? "I just don't think that last set of tires was quite as good as the middle set. On that middle set we were pretty strong, especially on the long runs. We just had a great weekend with the Winn Dixie car. The tire change threw us a curve and we didn't recover from it as well as we might have, but, all in all, we ran a lot better today than I thought we would."

FINAL THOUGHTS ON YOUR LAST BUSCH RACE AT CHARLOTTE. "We gave 'em our best. I just kind of hate it for Nemechek. He was really strong on that last set of tires and we couldn't do anything with him. It's a shame, but we did the best we could to rebound from that tire change because that thing really caught us looking the other way."

DAVE BLANEY, NO. 20 AT&T PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

(ON FINISHING THIRD) "Yeah, it was pretty good. We kind of hung in there all day. I was hoping to get it loosened up enough for that last run to get up there and race for it, but we got tighter yet and we were lucky to get third out of it, I guess."

(ON THE TIRES) "It didn't really affect us at all. Our car was good during 'Happy Hour' right away. We just luckily fell into it where our car was good and we didn't have to make many changes."
