Michael Ritch #55 Davis & Weight Motorsports Ford Homestead-Miami Preview Race: Hotwheels.com 300 Where: Homestead-Miami Speedway (1.5-mile oval) When: Saturday, November 11, 1:10 p.m. Coverage: NBC will carry television coverage, while MRN covers the race on radio.Last Week at Phoenix: Michael Ritch and the Kleenex crew struggled at Phoenix last weekend. After starting the race in the 43rd position, Ritch immediately complained of the tight problem many teams fought. The team would make some adjustments in hopes of getting the car to turn better, but the condition of the car would not improve. Ritch brought the car home safely in 35th position. Second time around: This weekend Michael Ritch will visit Homestead for the second time in his career. In 1996, Ritch started 39th in the race only to be collected in an accident early into the race. He would go on to finish 40th in the race that year. Michael Ritch on Homestead-Miami Speedway: "This racetrack is every bit as difficult as Phoenix is. It is very flat so you have to really hit the brakes at just the right moment in order to stay quick but avoid sliding up the racetrack. We had a good test here, and I have raced here once before, so we bring more experience with us here than we did to Phoenix last week. We're looking to have a strong qualifying effort on Friday to give us a good starting position for the race. We want to finish off the season with a strong race for Kimberly-Clark and give ourselves some momentum to get ready for Daytona in February."
