HotWheels.com 300 Mark Green Notes

The excitement has been building for several weeks and finally the day of judgment awaits Mark Green and his Superflo, HMV Motorsports team as they head into the Homestead-Miami Speedway with a new Ford Taurus for the Miami 300. The team made the decision to switch from Chevrolet Monte Carlo's to the Ford Taurus with hopes of gaining better performance.

"From what we have seen the Taurus has a better body than what we have traditionally ran in the Busch Series and is more aerodynamic," said Jeff Hensley, HMV Motorsports team manager. "We have struggled this season trying to get the Monte Carlo to perform the way we had hoped and are excited to make a fresh start with the Taurus."

Coming off a 33rd place finish at last week's Outback Steakhouse 200, Superflo driver Mark Green is ready to clean the slate and start over at Homestead.

"I am anxious to get on the track to see how the Taurus is going to react," commented Green. "The guys have been working so hard all season go produce results but luck just hasn't been on our side. Hopefully by taking a new car and a different outlook to Homestead this weekend we can finish the season on a strong note."

The Miami 300 will be televised live on NBC with coverage starting at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
