Martin Wins Final BGN Race at Darlington
Mark Martin bid a fond farewell to Busch Grand National races at Darlington Raceway, winning in his final BGN event at the South Carolina track. Martin held off Winston Cup teammate Jeff Burton by .409 seconds to claim his fifth win of the 2000 season and his eighth Busch win at Darlington. Elton Sawyer was the highest finishing BGN regular, finishing third in a race that saw six Winston Cup regulars finish in the top ten.

    Martin Grabs Dura Lube 200 Pole
    Mark Martin will start from the pole position at the Darlington Raceway for the eighth time. Martin turned in a qualifying lap of 29.810 seconds, at 164.965 mph, to capture his second pole in a row at Darlington and the 26th pole of his Busch Grand National career. Joining Martin on the front row will be Jeff Green, who starts second, while Elton Sawyer and Jimmie Johnson will start third and fourth respectively.
