Aaron's Rent 312 - Atlanta Motor Speedway

 

Martin Wins Under the Lights
Some eight hours and twenty-two minuets after the green flag dropped on the Aaron's Rent 312, Mark Martin cruised to Victory Lane. Martin fought off the lengthy rain delay to beat Matt Kenseth to the finish line by 14.148 seconds, with only four cars remaining on the lead lap. Martin has now won two out of the last three BGN events that he has entered this season and three of the last four BGN races at Atlanta.

    Kenseth Drives to Atlanta Pole
    Matt Kenseth drove his favorite car to the pole position for the Aaron's Rent 312 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Kenseth, the Busch series point leader, toured the Atlanta track in 29.854 seconds, at 185.704 mph. Chad Chaffin joins Kenseth on the front row, starting second, while Hut Stricklin and Mark Martin start third and fourth, respectively.
