NASCAR Levies BGN Penalties DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NASCAR officials announced today they have levied penalties against the following NASCAR Busch Series team members of the No. 66 and the No. 35 teams for an altercation in the pit area last Saturday during the Bumper to Bumper All Pro 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.: Tim Boatwright, Scotty Pease and Alan Tully, all crew members for the No. 66 have been fined $2,000; Donnie Richeson, crew chief of the No. 66 received a fine of $500; Ralph D. Bryant, crew member of the No. 35 team was fined $1,500 and Ricky Pearson, crew chief of the No. 35 received a fine of $500. In addition to the fines, all of the above mentioned have been placed on probation until Dec. 31, 2000. Boatwright, Pease, Tully and Bryant were all deemed in violation of Section 12-4 A in the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Rule Book: "...actions deemed detrimental to stock car racing - involved in an altercation in the pit area." Richeson and Pearson were deemed in violation of Section 12-4 A in the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Rule Book: "...actions deemed detrimental to stock car racing..." and Section 9-4 A: "...the crew chief assumes responsibility for the actions of his... team members..."
