Elliott to Host First Annual Golf Tournament STATESVILLE, NC - Bill Elliott, owner/driver of the No. 94 McDonald's Ford, will host his first annual Bill Elliott Charity Gold Tournament tomorrow, Tuesday, May 23, at Birkdale Golf Club in Huntersville, N.C. The proceeds of the tournament and memorabilia auction will benefit MD Anderson Cancer Research Center and Children's Special Olympics. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the day's activities concluding following the memorabilia auction, which begins at 7 p.m. A limited number of spots are still available for participants. Scheduled to participate in the 18-hole tournament are the following NASCAR personalities: Tommy Baldwin, Mike Bliss, Brett Bodine, Dave Blaney, Ricky Craven, Wally Dallenbach, Barry Dodson, Bill Elliott, Ray Evernham, Glen Jarrett, Joey Knuckles, Rick Mast, Newt Moore, Ted Musgrave, Jerry Nadeau, Steve Park Charlie Pressley, David Smith, Jimmy Spencer and Waddell Wilson. The motorsports memorabilia auction is open to the public. It begins at 7 p.m. at Birkdale Golf Club. The club is located on Highway 73 (exit 25) in Huntersville, just west of Interstate 77.
